Assisting our customers by offering
unparalleled service is the primary focus of the JPA customer
service department. This dedicated group of highly skilled
professionals offer integrated solutions to our customer’s
complex needs. Whether you have questions regarding press
capacity, electronic files, printing, or finishing; a qualified
customer service representative is available to provide support.
We listen to your needs and aspire to meet your expectations
every day.
Our CSR’s enjoy being challenged. If you
have a unique requirement, please let us know. If it can be
accomplished; we will find a way to make it happen.
All of our service team members are
experienced in the publication printing business, and
demonstrate their knowledge and mastery in this distinct
industry every day. They also possess a JPA key quality; a
desire to share that knowledge with you. After more than 30
years in the print industry, we know that only quality people
can produce quality products and service. The front line of our
service team is your CSR. This is the person who will be your
primary contact. Your CSR will relay job specific information to
our scheduling, prepress, press, and finishing team members.
And of course, our sales team is always
available to assist you.
PREPRESS
Our Prepress department has partnered with
AGFA Corporation.

Fully automated, digital workflow

Staying current with ever changing industry is accomplished

Upload files over a secure T1 line

Each person responsible for uploading, viewing and approving
pages is assigned a user name and password that allows them
access to perform only the tasks specifically assigned them.

JPA provides specifications to create pdf files for our
workflow

New customers are assigned a technical resource from our
prepress team to assist with any questions on pdf creation
and upload

Files are preflighted and a soft proof generated

Preflight reports identify issues

Once all pages are approved, imposition is assigned and
plates are ready to be output to one of our AGFA Avalon
platesetters

First copies are scheduled out five business days after
files are approved

CIP4 data from your digital files is sent to the Komori
press console, allowing automatic ink fountain preset

JPA hosts an FTP site that allows electronic transmission of
files

PRESS
Excellence in printing is what our

Johnson Press of America, Inc. has been the
recipient of numerous gold, silver and bronze awards in sheetfed
trade publication.
A Komori Lithrone SP 440 is the newest
addition to our press department.

FINISHING AND BINDERY
The Finishing Department is equipped with a variety of cutters,
folders, and binders along with skilled craftsmen to meet your needs.

Cutting precision with Itotech programmable paper cutter, handling
sheets up to 42” in width.
MBO folding machines give the versatility to fold a variety of
configurations including 32 page digest-size forms.
Saddlewire binding on Muller Martini saddle stitcher capable of
digest to junior tabloid trims.
Muller Martini perfect binder is capable of binding
a 1”
thick product.
One, two and three hold drilling is available.
Removable adhesive tipping is available.
CD insertion is available.
Mailing options include polywrap, allowing up to 3 ride-along or inserted pieces to be securely sealed with the host publication.
Mail labels are processed in-house, using USPS sanctioned software and accessing zip-plus 4 and National Change Of Address (NCOA) databases.
